DOHA: Qatar will host Spanish giants FC Barcelona for an exhibition beach soccer match on 28 March, just before the final of the FIFA Beach Soccer World Cup 2015 AFC Qualifier in Doha.
The match at Katara Beach will be an exciting warm-up to the showpiece final of the qualifiers, with the Catalan stars guaranteed to provide spectacular goals and exciting action to local and international fans alike. The Supreme Committee for Delivery & Legacy (SC) have been confirmed as official organisers of the tournament.
FC Barcelona consistently draw fans and this will be another opportunity to see some of their top names in action, as they take on a local selection. Barça is loaded with talent, including beach soccer icon, Ramiro Amarelle, as well as the reigning Golden Glove award winner, F. Jesus Donaire ‘Dona’ of Spain.
Speaking ahead of the Beach Soccer World Cup 2015 – AFC Qualifier, FC Barcelona’s captain and coach Ramiro Amarelle said: “We are happy to be back in Doha after the amazing experience we had in the last qualifier. We have always been made to feel very welcome and supported by the crowd.”

The winners, runners-up and third-placed teams at the Asian Qualifier in Qatar will qualify for the FIFA Beach Soccer World Cup Portugal 2015. The qualifiers begin on Monday, 23 March and will feature some of the best teams and players in Asia.
