DOHA: Hundreds of fans turned up for Emir Cup activities at the
weekend when teams played for the quarterfinal stage of the country's
most popular football event.
Fans comprising mostly of youngsters attended special Emir Cup
activities at popular shopping malls and at match venues this weekend.
The 43rd edition of Emir Cup ends with the title clash on May 24 at Al
Gharafa Stadium.
The programs have been planned and carried out by QFA's Marketing Department.
Special programs have also been held at Lagoona West Bay area last week.
More activities are planned at Museum of Islamic Art Gardens on May
14, 15 and 16, details reveal.
QFA has already released a second bath of tickets for the final to be
played at the end of May.
Entertainment shows for children have been hugely popular at Kids
Corner erected at match venues and shopping malls.
Event sponsors Ooreddo and Fifty One East have also planned activities
in the coming week.
Doha Corniche has also been decked for the occasion with huge trophy
replicas standing tallat popular points around the city.
