Doha: Hani Talib Ballan, member of the Executive Committee of the Qatar Football Association (QFA) and CEO of the Qatar Stars League, met on Wednesday with H E Abdullah Su, Minister of Infrastructure, and Vice-President of the Senegalese Football Association, Ali Hamish.
H E Yankhoba Diatara, Ambassador of the Republic of Senegal, was also present in the meeting.
Mansour Al-Ansari, Secretary-General of QFA, also attended the meeting.
At the meeting held at Al Bidda Tower, topics of mutual interest were discussed and ways to strengthen them.
In light of Qatar and Senegal's brotherly relations, officials from both countries sought to strengthen partnerships in a variety of fields.
The officials also agreed to exploit and honour the opportunities to forge new sports partnerships.
The Senegalese delegation expressed their great admiration for "the excellent and impressive preparations that are being made to host the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022™ for the first time in the Middle East".
The visiting delegation praised the Qatari leadership for bringing the FIFA World Cup to the Arab world.
