DOHA: Al Sadd striker Hassan Al Haydos on Sunday was named the Player
of the Year at a glittering Qatar FootballAssociation(QFA) season-ending
ceremony at Qatar convention centre.
Al Haydos played key roles for Qatar national team and in Al Sadd
winning the Emir Cup on Saturday.
Lekhwiya coach Michael Laudrup was named 'Coach of the Year'. Laudrup,
from Denmark, guided Lekhwiya to QSL title and the Qatar Cup triumph.
Abdulrahman Harazi was named Best Young Player of the Year. Harazi who
plays for Al Sailiyah is 21.
Al Ahli's Congolese striker Alain Dioko emerged as the top scorer in
QSL for the second time in a row.
Qatar Sports Club chairman Sheikh Jassim bin Hamad bin Nasser al Thani
was named official of the year.
The new QSL season will commence in September.
