Khalid Mohammed replaces Ahmed Moien in Qatar Asian Cup squad

Doha: Young midfielder Khalid Mohammed was drafted into Qatar's final Asian Cup squad as a replacement for Ahmed Moien. Ahmed Moien was ruled out of the tournament after sufferung an injury in training on Friday. Mohammed played an integral part in Qatar's impressive run at the 2018 AFC U-19 champonship, which saw the yoyng maroons secure a place at the FIFA 2019 U-20 World Cup next summer. Qatar will begin their Asian Cup campaign against Lebanon on January 9 before taking on North Korea and Saudi Arabia.
