ROME, ITALY: Following days of intense training under the watchful eye of coach Djamal Belmadi; Qatar national day spent a recreational day in TheCascata delle Marmore(Marmore's Falls) near Rome, where they rafted through the canals of the tallest man-made waterfall in the world is. Qatar squad of 30 players and backroom staff arrived in Rome four days ago to begin their eight-month phase that includes the Gulf Cup in November and the Asian Cup in January 2015. Qatar will play first Spanish division outfit Malaga on August 6th, in addition to three more freindlies lined up against the national teams of Morocco, Australia and Uzbekistan. The players will be playing friendly matches and undergoing special training sessions in the coming days. Qatar will play against Macedonia in a friendly during this training camp. This is the first overseas trip for the Qatar squad now being coached by Belmadi.
