DOHA: Lekhwiya moved closer to winning a fourth Qatar Stars League title as they drew seven clear on top of the standings with only four rounds to go. On Saturday, they defeated 10-man Umm Salal 2-1 while Al Sadd lost to Qatar Sports Club by the same score. Vladimir Weiss struck another decisive goal as Lekhwiya put it past a fighting Umm Salal. Sebastian Soria had put the cops ahead in the 14th minute while Mohammed Al Sayed equalised in the 55th. Meanwhile, Hamdi Harbaoui dashed Sadd’s hopes of regaining the league title. The Tunisian forward netted in the 26th and 29th minute to give Qatar SC a two-goal cushion by the half-time while Abdulkarim Hassan pulled one back in the 47th. In another game, El Jaish played an aggressive game to breeze past Al Gharafa 3-0. Majed Mohammed (47th), Romarinho (57th) and Wagner Ribeiro (67th) scored for the winners.
