Mansour Al Ansari inaugurates the FIFA Football For Schools Monitoring and Evaluation Expert panel workshop

Doha: Mansour Al Ansari, Secretary General of the Qatar Football Association, opened the FIFA F4S Schools Monitoring and Evaluation Expert panel workshop this Monday morning at the InterContinental Hotel - Katara, which will continue until Tuesday, the 27th of this month. The opening was attended by Fatimata Sidibe, FIFA F4S Director, representatives of the Generation Amazing Foundation, representatives of UNESCO BIE, and 13 pilot federations from: Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Puerto Rico, Fuji, Guam, Tonga, Moldova, Malawi, Paraguay, Latvia, India, Namibia, Guyana. The objective of this workshop is to brainstorm on the setting up of a Digital Monitoring and Evaluation system of the FIFA F4S. At the beginning, Mansour Al-Ansari spoke in a welcoming speech in which he said: “On behalf of the President of the Qatar Football Association and the Executive Committee of the Qatar Football Association, I would like to welcome you to your second home, Doha, and welcome you to the opening ceworkshop of the Football Monitoring and Evaluation Expert panel .” For schools affiliated with FIFA. He added, “The organization and content of this workshop speak for themselves, in terms of the commitment we all have to this sport and to our future generations around the world. Sport and education go hand in hand as they share many crucial principles, and hosting this expert workshop is compatible.” Also with the Qatar Football Association’s commitment to playing an important role in the region and the world by contributing directly and positively to providing opportunities for millions of children to learn and excel in football.” This program was launched in 2019 in Puerto Rico and Lebanon. So far, many FIFA member associations have participated in it, and there is still a long way to go as the Football for Schools program has set itself the goal of contributing to the development and empowerment of nearly 700 million children around the world. But a symbolic step has been taken in Sierra Leone, which has become the 107th FIFA Member Association to join the programme. Kuwait, Bahrein and Oman were the recent countries or Member Associations benefiting from F4S before coming to Doha. Al-Ansari concluded his speech by saying: “At the Qatar Football Association, we attach great importance to the importance of developing the number one popular game in the world. From the perspective of the legacy of the FIFA World Cup, we have our pioneering social responsibility program, Generation Amazing, This is an ambitious program that has grown very quickly since its launch in 2013. We thank FIFA for its continuous efforts aimed at developing all member federations and federations and ensuring that the main pillar of sport, which is youth at all age groups, reaches its full potential. Finally, I reiterate my welcome to all of you and invite you all to enjoy the culture and traditions of Qatar.” It is worth noting that the Football for Schools Programme has trained more than 3,000 teachers around the world. These numbers are expected to grow exponentially, as Football for Schools continues to expand around the world.
