Our national team has been ranked 51st in the world, according to the latest FIFA rankings for the month of November 2021, issued on the 19th of this month. Al Annabi is the sixth-highest ranked Arab team, and is also ranked sixth in Asia.
Al Annabi dropped 5 places in the rankings, after having been at 46th place last month, with a tally of 1431.01 points, behind Cameroon with 1437.35, and ahead of Ghana who have 1428.97 points.
In Asia, Iran maintained the top spot among the continent’s teams, occupying 21st position in the world, followed by Japan (26th), South Korea (33rd), Australia (35th) and Saudi Arabia (48th).
The month of November witnessed several exciting games in the international calendar, with the World Cup Qatar 2022 getting closer, and qualifiers being held in all continents.
Belgium remained at the top of the world rankings, with Brazil and France closely behind them. Meanwhile, Italy, forced to take part in a play-off in the World Cup qualifiers, fell two places from fourth to sixth. Mexico dropped five places from ninth to 14th, while the Dutch entered the top ten by taking tenth place, ahead of Germany.
The top ten teams are ranked in the following order: Belgium, Brazil, France, England, Argentina, Italy, Spain, Portugal, Denmark, and the Netherlands.
Senegal maintained the top spot in the rankings among African teams, after occupying 20th place in the world, followed by Morocco (the 28th), Tunisia (29th), Algeria (32nd), Nigeria (36th) and Egypt (45th).
The world rankings which will be issued on the first of April 2022, will be taken into consideration for the group stage draw of the World Cup, with the best seven teams joining hosts Qatar, at the top seeded eight teams.
