DOHA: QSL giants Al Gharafa are set to officilly introduce Brazilian Marcos Paqueta as their new coach for the 2014/2015 season.
This will be Paqueta's second stint at Al Gharafa, as he led them to win two league titles during his two-year tenor which started in 2008.
he managed América (RJ) in 1987,Al-Shabbabof theUnited Arab Emiratesin 1988 and in 1989, and has also managedFlamengofrom 1990 to 1998 and from 2001 to 2003,Fluminensefrom 1999 to 2000,Avaíin 2004 andAl-HilalofSaudi Arabiain 2004 and in 2005.
Following his success with Al Hilal, Paquetá was handed the job of coaching theSaudi national teamin the2006 World Cup. In 2007 he signed with Al Gharafa, leading them to two league titles.
In 2003, as the Brazilian coach, he won both theU-17 World Championshipand the U-20 World Championship. He was last head coach ofAl Rayyanand, in July 2010, signed a two-year contract as manager of theLibya national football team.
In June 2012, Paquetá signed a contract to take overUAE Pro-Leagueoutfit Al Shabab.
