Doha: Qatar national team head coach Felix Sanchez said that he is proud to be present in the upcoming FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022.
In statements to the media on the sidelines of Al Annabi's open training session this Sunday evening, he said: "I am proud to be part of the 2022 World Cup, and I am even more proud to be the coach of Al Annabi. Everyone, including the players, is happy and proud, and looking forward to showing a great image of Qatar."
Sanchez further said: "Tough matches await us in the tournament; we will face very strong teams, teams that are used to being in the World Cup, and I think that if we display our best we will be able to compete. We will work on the tactical side and reach our best levels during the matches."
Regarding the recent preparation period, the Spanish coach said: "We went through a long preparation period away from Doha, but we are happy to return home again, and we now look forward to the final stage of preparations for the World Cup, and we hope to make it a successful one,"
He added: "It was a very important period of preparation for us in Austria, but now we have to enjoy this crowd and the great support we have received during our training in Doha and get ready for the final stage of preparations."
