DOHA: Head coach of Qatar Oscar Fernandes is busy preparing the Qatar
juniors for the AFC U-16 Asian Cup with emphasis on how to play
dominant football in wet weather.
Qatar is one of 16 teams to feature in the event starting on Sunday.
The players in the squad have been undergoing lengthy training spells
with coach Fernandes heading the show.
Special emphasis has been laid on playing in wet weather that is
expected in Thailand, the venue of the event.
Qatar take on Iran (September 7), face Syria (September 9) and play
regional rivals Saudi Arabia (September 11) in the group stage three matches.
