DOHA: The draw for the first Western Asia football Olympic teams was
held Sunday, pitting Qatar against Jordan, Palestine and Yemen.
The draw was held on Sunday in Doha at Radisson Blue Hotel and Qatar
was tagged in Group A.
Group B saw Iran, Saudi Arabia and Iran together while Group C has
teams from the UAE, Oman and Syria.
The competition will take place from September 30-October 14.
Qatar will take on Palestine on September 30.
In their second game of the event, Qatar play Jordan on October 3.
Qatar's last group phase game will be against Yemen on October 6.
The semi-finals of the event will take place on October 10 while the
title clash will be held on October 14.
Qatar Football Association (QFA) Secretary General Mansour Al-Ansari
was present during the draw ceremony.
