DOHA: Qatar's Olympic Under-23 team is set for a preparation camp that will last from October 3 to 31, QFA said on Saturday.
Qatar is preparing for the qualification matches of the U-23 Asian Cup finals, which Qatar team will play from October 31 to November 12 in Doha.
Qatar will play against the teams of Syria, Yemen and Sri Lanka.
Qatar's Chilean coach Nicolas Cordova has finalized a squad of 28 players.
In the first phase, 24 players will participate in the training, starting from tomorrow, with the four players - Mohamed Waad, Youssef Abdul Razzaq, Salah Zakaria and Hammam Al Amin joining from Oct 13.
Qatar's Olympic squad will play two friendly matches in the internal preparation camp with the Kuwait U-23 team on Oct 15 and on Oct 18.
The Qatar squad also completed a training camp in May when they played friendlies against Malta, Croatia and Bosnia .
A total of 42 teams will participate in the qualifiers to secure 15 places up for grabs. The U-23 AFC Asian Cup will be held in Uzbekistan.
