DOHA: Qatar will play at least seven international friendlies in their
build up for this year's Gulf Cup and the 2015 Asian Cup, the Qatar
Football Association (QFA) announced on Wednesday.
The friendlies have been planned by coach Djamel Belmadi who took over
the national side in March this year.
Qatar squad will resume their training camp in Switzerland until
August, it emerged on Wednesday.
Belmadi's boys will take on Switzerland on August 2 and a separate
fixture against Spanish side Malaga on August 6.
In another friendly, Qatar will take on Morocco on September 3.
On September 9, Qatar host Peru before taking on Uzbekistan on October 7.
One of the matches involving Qatar is their fixture against Australia
on October 14.
Qatar will also play a friendly against Korea before their first match
in the Gulf Cup.
Also known as 'Al Anabi', Qatar are also preparing for 2015 Asian Cup
to be held in Australia next year in January.
The Gulf Cup - the region's premier football event - will be played in
Saudi Arabia in November this year.
