DOHA: Qatar will play three more friendlies in the build-up to the AFC Asian Cup U-23 to be held in China next month.
The Qatar Olympic side played a friendly against Serbia on Sunday. The visitors won 2-1.
The AFC U-23 Asian Cup, which will be held in China from January 9 to 27.
Coached by Spain's Felix Sanchez, Qatar's Olympic team will meet Greece on December 20, play Iraq on December 26, and take on Palestinian on December 29.
"Qatar's Olympic team will look for the most technical benefit from their three friendly matches so that they are match-ready for the event in China," a QFA official said on Monday.
The Qatar squad will leave for China on December 31 and will hold a training camp in China before the start of the continental championship from January 1 to 6, 2018.
Qatar will play in Group A alongside China, Uzbekistan and Oman.
