RIYADH: Qatar is prepared to go all the way and pick up their first win in their final Gulf Cup group stage clash against Bahrain, coach Djamel Belmadi said on Tuesday. Qatar, without a win in their last two matches, on Wednesday need a win against their neighbors to entertain hopes of a semifinal berth. Saudi Arabia face lowly Yemen in their third game of the eight-team Gulf Cup on Wednesday. "It will be a tough game against a tough side," Belmadi said on Tuesday. "We won't be taking this match easy as Bahrain is a very tough side," he added. Belmadi refused to talk about his opponents, saying he was keen to focus on his own squad for the do-or-die clash. "We have worked out hard in training and we know the areas we have to plug for the game on Wednesday," Belmadi said. "I am confident that my side has the ability to overcome their rivals in the last group stage match," he said. Belmadi said the players were in a positive frame of mind ahead of the third match at the Gulf Cup. "Whoever takes their chances well will win," Belmadi said. "I hope we can win convincingly and go through to the semifinals," he said.
