DOHA: Qatar Stars League outfit Qatar SC have announced the departure of coach Ivan Hasek and the appointment of Iraqi Radhi Shenaishil as his successor.
Hasek's role at the club came under scrutiny after his side suffered a catastrophic beginning to their season as they lost their two opening league matches against Lekhwiya 5-0 and to Al Ahli 3-1.
The coach who ledAl-Quwa Al-JawiyaandAl-Zawraato consecutive Iraqi league titles in 2007 and 2008, have played for Qatar SC from 2000 until 2005, when he successfully captained them to winning the league in 2003.
Shenaishil's first assignment will be against Al Sailiya in the third round match of the Qatar Stars League next Saturday.
