ZURICH, SWITZERLAND: Following a heartening 2-0 victory over Swiss side (SAFP) in their first friendly during a weeklong training camp held in Zurich , Qatar players on Monday resumed their training under the watchful eyes of coach Djamel Belmadi.
Qatar squad of 24 players and backroom staff arrived in Zurich last week to go on with preparation for their eight-month phase that includes the Gulf Cup in November and the Asian Cup in January 2015.
The players will be playing another friendly against Spanish La Liga outfit Malaga FC and undergoing special training sessions in the coming days.
Al Sadd quartet -Abdulkareem Hassan, Ali Asad, Ali Mahdi and Ibrahim Majid - have returned to Doha to join their club-mates in gearing up for the QSL representatives Champions League quarter-final against Saudi giants Al Hilal.
