CANBERRA: Qatar squad and backroom staff headed by coach Djamel Belmadi on Wednesday moved camp to Crowne Plaza as participating teams braced for the final countdown to the start of the event. Qatar, who arrived in Canberra on December 8, 2014, will play the UAE in their opening Asian Cup clash on January 11. The Asian Cup kicks-off on January 9 and ends on the 31st. The Qatar squad has played friendlies against Oman and Wellington FC in the last one week. The Qatar players underwent rigorous fitness drills on Wednesday.
