RIYADH, SAUDI ARABIA: Qatar squad headed by coach Djamel Belmadi on Tuesday reached
Riyadh where they will compete with regional powerhouses at the 22nd
Gulf Cup.
The Gulf Cup will commence on November 13 and ends on the 26th of this month.
All games involving the eight-team events will be held in Riyadh.
Qatar take on hosts Saudi Arabia in their opening game on Friday at
King Fahd International Stadium.
Qatar, Bahrain and Kuwait are the only three sides to feature at all
22 editions of the Gulf Cup.
Belmadi's squad will take on Yemen on the 16th followed by their final
group stage match against Bahrain on the 19th of this month.
The UAE defeated Iraq in the final at the 2013 edition.
