DOHA: Qatar Football Association (QFA) has confirmed friendly matches against Canada and Chile in September.
The two matches will be part of a series of international friendly matches that Qatar has lined up in its build up to the 2022 FIFA World Cup in November and December.
Overall in September, the Qatar national team will play three matches. Qatar, the Asian champions, will face Canada on September 23 and Chile on September 27 in Austria.
As for the third match, the date and opponent will be announced at a later time.
It is worth mentioning that Qatar is tagged along with Ecuador, Senegal and the Netherlands in Group A of the 2022 FIFA World Cup. Qatar will start its campaign on the November 21 against Ecuador.
