DOHA: Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa bin Ahmed Al Thani, President of Qatar
Football Association (QFA), met with the coaches of the Qatar Stars
League (QSL) sides set to feature in next season's AFC Champions
League.
Sheikh Hamad met with Michael Laudrup of Lekhwiya, Hussein Amouta of Al
Sadd, and Abdulqadir Almoghaisab of El Jaish and held discussions on
the teams's prospects as Asian's top club event.
The 2015 AFC Champions League will commence in February.
Al Sadd, Lekhwiya and El Jaish are the three QSL sides set to feature
in next year's AFC Champions League.
Sheikh Hamad wished the teams well at the AFC Champions League, an
event that was won by Al Sadd in 2011.
QFA on Sunday said more details would be released when QSL and
Qatargas League officials meet on Tuesday.
