DOHA: Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa bin Ahmed Al Thani, President of the
Qatar Football Association (QFA) met with a Portuguese delegation headed by
Humberto Coelho, vice president of the Portugal Football Federation, on Sunday.
Dr. Silveira Ramos, Technical Director ofthe Portuguese Federation, was also present at the meeting.
During the meeting, the two sides reviewed issues of mutual concern
and means of bettering football cooperation between the two associations.
QFA president highlighted the deep ties between the two associations,
pointing to the role of football in enhancing ties in a way that leads
to football development on the domestic, continental and international
levels.
At the end of the meeting, QFA president stressed the importance of
continued cooperation between the two sides, wishing success for Portugal in the 2014 World Cup.
