DOHA: QFA's Director of Marketing and Communication Hamad Abdullah Al
Kuwair on Saturday crowned Amwag champions of Qatar Amateur League at
Al Arabi Stadium.
Amwag beat Al Waab 2-1 and sealed their title win with a tally of 78
points. Amwag also got richer by QR 150,000.
Military Command finished the league in second spot with 77 points
after beating Kahramaa 1-0. Military Command picked up QR 100,000 for
their efforts.
Al Waab with 75 points finished in third spot and picked up QR 80,000.
Ibrahim Saleh was declared Top Scorer of the Tournament and got richer
by QR 5,000. Saleh scored 32 goals in the 16-team league.
In other games, Doha beat Simaisma 2-1, Al Quds crushed Copros 3-1,
and Lusail hammered Latin 5-1.
Meanwhile Khalifa Madinat edged Matar 6-4, British Community hammered
Lebanese Community 5-0, while Sudanese Community thrashed Al Tadamon
5-0.
