DOHA: The Qatar Football Association (QFA) on Thursday conducted the QFA Cup draw at Al Bidda Tower.
Five groups of four teams each have been formed.
Group A: Al Ahli, Al Khor, Al Bada and Al Sailiya.
Group B: Al Gharafa, Qatar SC, Al Shahaniya and Al Markhiya.
Group C: Al Wakrah, Umm Salal and Muaither.
Group D: Al Kharaitiyat, Al Arabi and Al Shamal
Group E: Al Sailiya, Al Waab and Lusail.
The group stage matches of the tournament will start on April 15 with two matches – Al Ahli vs and Mesaimeer at Hamad bin Khalifa Stadium and Al Khor vs Al Bada at the same venue.
On April 16, Umm Salal will play Muaither (Al Sailiya Stadium), Qatar SC play Al Shahaniya (Suheim Bin Hamad Stadium) and Al Gharafa face Al Markhiya at the same venue.
The championship will be held with the participation of 17 teams from the first and second division with the exception of Al Rayyan and Al Duhail who are preparing for Asian Champions League matches.
