QFA Disciplinary Committee Issues Multiple Player Suspensions for Under-19 Tournament Misconduct

DOHA: After examining the reports from the QSL Cup matches and the  QSL Cup and  Under-19 Tournament, the Qatar Football Association's (QFA) Disciplinary Committee made a number of important judgements at its most recent meeting. The choices are as follows: Al Rayyan first Based on Article No. (47/2/4) of the Disciplinary Regulations, the Committee has fined Al Rayyan player Abdulrahman Hamid Al-Ashoul QR 1000 and suspended him for two weeks, commencing from 9.9.2024 to 23.9.2024. The suspension is for two matches (disciplinary suspension). The Committee reviewed the report of the Al Rayyan and Muaither match that took place on 8.9.2024 within the matches of the Under-19 Activation Championship for the 2024/2025 sports season. Al Sailiya is second. Based on what was stated in the report of the Al-Sailiya vs. Al-Arabi match that was held on 9/8/2024 within the matches of the Under-19 Activation Championship for the 2024/2025 sports season, the Committee has suspended Al Sailiyah player Youssef Fadi Al-Sarkaji for two matches (technical suspension). This decision was made in accordance with Article No. (47/2/2) of the Disciplinary Regulations. Al Arabi comes in third. Based on what was stated in the report of the Al Arabi vs. Al Rayyan QSL Cup match and Al Rayyan matches that were held on September 7, 2024, and in accordance with Article (47/1/4) of the Disciplinary Regulations, the Committee has suspended Al Arabi player Luis Martin Junior for ten days, beginning on September 8, 2024, and ending on September 17, 2024 (disciplinary suspension). Fourth: Al Rayyan Club: In accordance with Article No. (47/1/4) of the Disciplinary Regulations, the Committee has imposed a 10-day disciplinary suspension on Al Rayyan player Khaled Ali Bin Sabaa, effective September 8, 2024, and ending on September 17, 2024. Fifth: Al Sadd Club: Al Sadd has been fined QR 200,000 by the Committee for not taking part in the QSL Cup. Article No. 4, Clause 4 of the QSL Cup Regulations and Article No. 5/2/60 of the Disciplinary Regulations for the 2024–2025 Sports Season served as the foundation for the decision.
