DOHA: The Qatar Football Association (QFA) has nominated Khaled Mubarak Al-Kuwari, director of the Marketing and Communications Department of QFA, for membership in the media committee in the 25th Arabian Gulf Cup (Gulf 25), which will be hosted by Iraq in January 2023 in Basra.
Al-Kuwari’s selection for membership in the media committee comes due to the significant experience he has in the marketing and media field through the various tournaments in which he participated at the local and international levels.
He also participated and was present in the media committees of the Arab Gulf Cup tournaments, where he was a member of the media committee in the 24th Gulf Cup and in the 19th Gulf Cup tournaments in Muscat, 20 in Aden, 21 in Manama, 22 in Riyadh and 23 in Kuwait.
The media committee specializes in many tasks, including drawing up a unified media policy for the tournament and transmitting its activities through various media platforms by urging the media in the participating countries to promote the tournament in accordance with its sporting goals and marketing the necessary publicity of it.
It is necessary to take into account that each of the participating teams obtains its right of media coverage on the same level of equality between itself and the other participating teams, in addition to focusing on avoiding publishing, displaying, broadcasting or circulating any talk or article that does not serve the objectives of the tournament.
Working to educate the sports fans about everything that is purposeful and constructive away from excitement and intolerance, and not to publish anything that could increase the enthusiasm of the fans in any way.
The committee has the right to determine the number of media delegations for each country participating in the tournament, and it is also interested in holding media awareness sessions and seminars accompanying the tournament’s activities for media professionals and setting a program of press conferences for coaches before and after the session, in addition to naming media coordinators for the matches.
