QFA President hosts Russian football officials
DOHA: Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa bin Ahmed Al Thani, President of Qatar Football Association (QFA), on Wednesday night hosted a banquet in honour of the visiting football officials from Russia.
The dinner was attended by Sergey Pryadkin, Vice President of Russian Football Union (RFU), Aleksandr Alayev, the Sceretary General of RFU and Russian ambassador to Qatar Nurmakhmad Kholov.
The Russian team manager and players were also present as officials from Qatar and Russia exchanged ideas to develop the sport in the two countries.
Russia and Qatar are the hosts of the 2018 and 2022 FIFA World Cup editions respectively.
Hassan Al Thawadi, Secretary General of Supreme Committee for Delivery and Legacy (SC), addressed the gathering while welcoming the officials from Russia.
Ahmed Abbasi, Executive Director of National Teams, and Ali Dawood, Executive Director of QFA President's office, were also present.
Russian officials will be present at the international friendly between Russia and Qatar on Thursday at Jassim Bin Hamad Stadium.
The QFA President was extended an invitation by RFU to visit Russia in the bear future.
