DOHA: Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa bin Ahmed Al Thani, President of the Qatar Football Association (QFA), received Francisco Egas, President of the Ecuadorean Football Association, on Tuesday.
Mansour Al Ansari, Secretary General of QFA, and Ali Daoud, Executive Director of the President’s Office, were also present.
During the meeting, views were exchanged and discussions held on issues of common interest and the desire to strengthen the bilateral relations between the two federations in light of the remarkable development they have
enjoyed in the recent period.
The cooperation between QFA and its Ecuadorean counterpart comes to strengthen the bilateral relations between the two federations.
The lastest meeting has also resulted following QFA's extensive agreements with CONMEBOL in the last few years. QFA continues to sign deals with football governing bodies across continents to help develop the game around the world.
"There is no doubt that such agreements and this distinguished bilateral cooperation between the Qatar Football Association and its Ecuadorean counterpart, confirms the pivotal role QFA plays to develop the game around the world," a QFA official said.
Mementoes were exchanged at the end of the meeting on Tuesday.
