DOHA: Qatar Football Association (QFA) boss Sheikh Hamad Bin Khalifa
Bin Ahmed Al Thani, met with Chairman of Ooredoo Sheikh Abdullah Bin
Mohammed Bin Saud Al Thani on Wednesday.
The QFA chief thanked the Ooredoo for their support of the national
teams and congratulated the the Chairman of the Board of Directors
for Ooredoo on Qatar's win in the AFC Asian Under-19 Cup held in
Myanmar last month.
Ooredoo had honoured the Qatar juniors after their historic win last
month in the presence of H E Salah bin Ghanim Al-Ali, Minister of
Youth and Sports.
Sheikh Abdullah has been instrumental in the restructuring and
regional expansion of Ooredoo.
Since the launch of the company’s expansion strategy in 2005, Sheikh
Abdullah has steered the growth of Ooredoo from being a single nation
telecom operator to a Group with a presence in 17 countries, spanning
from North Africa, Middle East to South East Asia.
