DOHA: Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa bin Ahmed Al Thani, President of Qatar
Football Association (QFA) on Wednesday met with Shaikh Salman bin
Ebrahim Al Khalifa, chief of Asian Football Confederation (AFC) in an
official meeting in Manama, Bahrain.
QFA Vice President Saud Al Mohannadi was also present during the
meeting which saw two top football officials discuss matters of mutual
interest.
Sheikh Hamad and Sheikh Salman also discussed matters relating to
development of football in Asia and future cooperation between AFC and
QFA.
Sheikh Salman stated AFC's keen effort to take the game to the next
level across Asia.
The AFC President also underlined Asia's intention to improve it's
working on encouraging youth to take up football the right way and
adopt a healthy lifestyle through playing sports.
Sheikh Hamad explained in detail QFA's plans to develop the game in
Qatar where football remains the number one sport.
The QFA Chief said Qatar was actively pursuing ways to develop the
national teams at all levels including futsal squad.
