Doha: His Excellency Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa bin Ahmed Al Thani, President of the Qatar Football Association, received in his office at Al Bidda Tower His Excellency Mr. Mokhtar Ould Dahi, Minister of Culture, Youth and Sports of the Islamic Republic of Mauritania, along with Mr. Ahmed Ould Yahya, President of the Mauritanian Football Association.
The meeting was attended on the Qatari side by Mr. Mansour Al-Ansari, Secretary-General of the QFA, Mr. Ali Daoud, Executive Director of the President's Office, and Mr. Mushtaq Al-Waeli, Executive Director of the Strategic and Institutional Development Office.
During the meeting, the two sides discussed issues of common interest and ways to enhance them in various fields, in light of the brotherly relations that link Qatar and Mauritania.
The officials expressed their aim to strengthen the bonds of friendship between the two sides and to widen the scope of close cooperation, especially taking into consideration the cooperation agreement signed between the football associations of the two countries. The plans include ways of exchanging knowledge and resources, to support the development of football in Qatar and Mauritania.
