DOHA: Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa bin Ahmed Al Thani, President of the Qatar Football Association (QFA, received in his office on Thursday, H E Prince Mansour bin Khalid bin Farhan Al Saud, Ambassador of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to Qatar.
The meeting was attended by Saud bin Abdulaziz Al Mohannadi, Vice President of QFA.
The QFA President and the visiting Saudi ambassador discussed further strengthening of relations between the two neighbouring countries.
The two officials discussed a series of topics of common interest.
During the meeting on Thursday at Al Bidda Tower – the home of football in Qatar – the QFA President and the Saudi ambassador discussed enhancing football cooperation in light of the brotherly relationship between Qatar and Saudi Arabia.
The two officials also underscored the importance of developing future sports relations between Qatar and Saudi Arabia. The talks also centred around the development of football in the two countries.
At the end of the meeting, the QFA President presented the Ambassador the QFA Shield besides presenting the national team’s official jersey bearing the ambassador’s name and the number 22 in reference to the 2022 FIFA World Cup.
