Doha: His Excellency Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa bin Ahmed Al Thani, President of the Qatar Football Association (QFA), received on Monday at the QFA headquarters in Al Bidda Tower, His Excellency Mr. Timmy T. Davis, Ambassador of the United States of America to the State of Qatar.
The meeting was attended by Mr. Mansour Al-Ansari, Secretary General of the QFA, and Mr. Mushtaq Al-Waeli, Executive Director of the QFA’s Institutional and Strategic Development Office.
During the meeting, they discussed issues of common interest and ways to enhance them in various areas of football, particularly in light of the distinguished relations between the countries.
The attendees discussed opportunities to strengthen and invest fraternal relations between the two friendly countries, working towards the interests of football in both the State of Qatar and the United States of America. They also spoke about the role of the game in strengthening relations and raising them to new horizons of fruitful and constructive cooperation.
