Doha: The Qatar Football Association and the Qatar e-Sports Federation inked a cooperation agreement at QFA headquarters in Al Bidda Tower. The Associations hope to invest in each other's expertise and capabilities and support joint activities and goals. The agreement reinforces the ambitions of both organizations.
General Secretaries Mansoor Al Ansari of the Qatar Football Association and Faisal Khaled of the Qatar e-Sports Federation signed the agreement.
The General Secretary of the Qatar Football Association, Mansoor Al Ansari, expressed his admiration for the Qatar e-Sports Federation's plans to increase participation in youth-oriented games and activities and its message and vision, which are consistent with ours.
"This agreement matches the Association's aspirations to continue its achievements and presence on the global map in electronic games. It is a worthy step," the Qatar Football Association Secretary-General said after signing the agreement. He went on to say that QFA will be a significant supporter of the participation of the national e-football team, which has a long record of various participations regionally and globally.
In the Asian Football Confederation's e-Cup, which features 20 member associations, QFA makes its debut in e-sports by endorsing our e-football team. This furthers its ambition to engage with a more youthful demographic of football fans.
For his part, Faisal Khaled, General Secretary of the Qatar e-Sports Federation, said: "The signing of the cooperation agreement with the Qatar Football Association coincides with the launch of the Qatar e-Sports Federation. It is an excellent opportunity through which we look forward to achieving our ambitious common goals and benefiting from the great experiences and achievements of the Qatar Football Association. "
