DOHA: The Qatar Football Association (QFA) received a letter of
acknowledgement from the game's ruling body in Asia, thanking Qatar
for welcoming an AFC delegation recently.
The AFC delegation visited Qatar to inspect football facilities from
September 5 to 18.
AFC is studying Qatar's bid file to host the Under-22 Asian Cup in 2016.
It is understood that AFC found Qatar's football facilities to be one
of the finest anywhere in the world and that all venues met the
requirements set by FIFA and AFC.
The decision on the hosts of the Under-22 Asian Cup will be made in November.
