DOHA: In an attempt to meet an overwhelming demand for tickets, Qatar
Football Association (QFA) has decided to release more ticket for
remaining games in Emir Cup.
The final of the Emir Cup will be held at Al Gharafa Stadium on May 23.
The tickets are available through www.qfa.qa, a QFA official said
on Thursday.
Fans can also purchase tickets at Villaggio, Landmark and City Centre.
QFA is aiming to cater to families at the final of the Emir Cup, the
official added.
The tickets for the final have been divided into three categories with
different price tags.
"We urge the fans to grab their tickets as soon as possible," the QFA
official said.
Special sections of the stands have been exclusively reserved for families.
School students will also be given special attention, QFA said.
Hamad Al Kuwari, QFA's Marketing and Communication head, said: "We are
overwhlemed with the demand in tickets. That's why we have released
more tickets."
He added: "Our target is a house-full so that more fans can get in
with tickets."
Al Kuwari explained: "There is no doubt that a lot of football fans
use our website to purchase tickets."
Al Kuwari said: "The interest in our events, especially like Qatar Cup
and the Emir Cup is encouraging. We now know how much the fans value
these events."
The QFA official said all arrangements have been completed with focus
on the final.
He said numerous community activities have also been planned.
The match will signal the end of the football season in Qatar.
