DOHA: The elite referees' refresher course – conducted by the Qatar Football Association (QFA) – has concluded with resounding success.
A total of 65 elite referees took part in the workshop. Referees from Syria, Palestine and Djibouti were also featured in the Aug 24-Sept 7 workshop.
The closing ceremony of the course was held at the Sheraton Doha Hotel in the presence of the Executive Director of QFA's Referees Department, Naji Al-Juwaini, fellow members and participants in the course.
Al-Juwaini thanked the course's lecturers, expressing his delight with many experts and Arab referees featured in the class.
During the closing ceremony, the course's lecturers and representatives of the Arab delegations that participated in the course were honoured.
Certificates of participation were distributed among all participants from the Arab countries and the Doha residents who participated in the course's activities.
Participating referees from Arab countries thanked QFA for the invite. They also thanked the QFA Referee's Department for allowing them to participate in the course.
