QIIB is the official sponsor of the Amir Cup, National teams

Doha: The Qatar Football Association (QFA) and Qatar International Islamic Bank have signed a sponsorship agreement under which QIIB will sponsor the Amir Cup and national teams for three years, beginning in February 2024. His Excellency Sheikh Dr Khalid bin Thani bin Abdullah Al Thani, Chairman of the Board of Directors (QIIB), and His Excellency Mr Jassim bin Rashid Al Buainain, President of the Qatar Football Association, signed the sponsorship agreement during a ceremony held at The Ned Hotel in the presence of Dr Abdul Baset Al Shaibi, CEO of the Qatar International Islamic Bank. Through this sponsorship, the Qatar Football Association is excited to lay the groundwork for a prosperous partnership with one of the leading institutions in the country's financial sector. On this occasion, His Excellency Mr Jassim bin Rashid Al-Buainain, President of the Qatar Football Association, stated, "We are proud of this sponsorship agreement with QIIB, and we look forward to working with our new partners to serve our aspirations in the Qatar Football Association, especially since QIIB will be the main sponsor under this sponsorship for the Amir Cup and national teams in a three-year contract." "We take this opportunity to congratulate our wise leadership and all Qataris on the national team's great success in winning the Asian Cup for the second consecutive time. It pleased us all and confirmed that Qatar's investment in sports facilities and infrastructure parallels investing in our national teams," Sheikh Dr Khalid bin Thani said during the signing ceremony. He added, "We are pleased to sign today the sponsorship agreement with the Qatar Football Association, including many details. It is an honour to sponsor and support our national teams and the Amir Cup for the next three years, which we hope will be full of achievements and progress for Qatari football and other sports." In turn, Dr Abdul Baset Ahmed Al-Shaibei, CEO of QIIB, confirmed: "We feel immense pride in sponsoring the recently crowned champions of Asia, in addition to the Amir Cup, of course, the most prestigious football competition in the country, we look forward to working closely with our partners at QFA towards achieving our common goals, all while wishing the best for our national team in future challenges, especially in the FIFA World Cup 2026 and AFC Asian Cup Saudi Arabia 2027™ joint qualifiers".
