DOHA: Hani Taleb Ballan, Chairman of the QFA Referees Committee, presided over the annual technical analytical meeting of the Qatar Football Association's (QFA) Refereeing Department.   Valentin Ivanov, a technical expert from the FIFA Refereeing Department, and Jassim Mohammed Al-Hail, the vice chairman of the QFA Referees Committee, were also present. Attending the meeting were several referees as well as technical specialists.   Executive Director of the FIFA Referees Department Massimo Busacca joined the video conference to assess games from the Ooredoo Stars League's second and third rounds.   The referees' technical and physical performances throughout the Ooredoo Stars League's second and third round matches were thoroughly reviewed and analysed during the meeting.   Hiroki Kasahara, a Japanese referee who oversees matches in the fourth and fifth rounds, was welcomed to the conference at the outset. In the fourth round, he will also oversee the match between Al Arabi and Al Khor. The parameters of the agreement between the Japanese Football Association and the QFA govern Kasahara's involvement.   Kasahara declared, "I'm happy to be here in Doha. The Ooredoo Stars League games are overseen by me. I hope every referee has the best possible luck officiating this round's matches."   Numerous refereeing cases from the league's earlier rounds were also covered in the conference. The focus of the conversations was on referees' ability to make correct calls.   The decision-makers, the referees, took part in the case analysis and gave the specialists an explanation of their viewpoint.   Busacca offered healthy praise for several of the decisions that were on the table for consideration.   Hani Taleb Ballan concluded by praising the quality of refereeing in the last three Ooredoo Stars League rounds. As the season went on, he exhorted the rookies to put in greater effort.
