Doha: Shell Qatar and the Qatar Football Association have signed a long-term partnership extension for another four years. Under this agreement, Shell Qatar will be the main sponsor of the Qatar Football Association, highlighting their joint commitment to the Amir Cup, the most prestigious tournament in Qatar. Shell Qatar will continue to play a leading role as a principal partner in sponsoring the Amir Cup and the national teams.
The signing ceremony, held on Tuesday, May 9th, was attended by Mr. Hussain Al-Hajji from Shell Qatar and Mr. Mansour Al-Ansari from the Qatar Football Association.
Commenting on the sponsorship contract extension, Mr. Mansour Al-Ansari from the Qatar Football Association said, "We have had a partnership with Shell Qatar for nearly two decades. This new signing strengthens this fruitful relationship for another four prosperous years. Shell Qatar's genuine contribution to promoting football and sports is highly appreciated by us. They are well-known for their involvement in initiatives that actively contribute to the Qatari community and help build a brighter future in line with Qatar's National Vision 2030. The Qatar Football Association extends its gratitude to them for their continuous support in making the Amir Cup a success."
In turn, Hussain Al-Hajji, General Manager of External Relations and Government Affairs at Shell Qatar, said, "The Qatar Football Association is an important partner for us. We share similar values with the Qatar Football Association, and this is one of Shell's strongest sports partnerships. By working together, we look forward to promoting sports and a healthy lifestyle among Qatari youth through engaging with the fans through a variety of activities in the coming years."
The partnership between the Qatar Football Association and Shell Qatar is renowned for its pioneering initiatives throughout Qatar.
As part of the National Sports Day celebrations in February, they organized a range of activities at Katara Cultural Village, which was one of the most attended events during the Sports Day celebrations across Doha.
The signing comes at an exciting time in the football calendar as the Amir Cup tournament approaches its thrilling conclusion with the final match scheduled for the upcoming Friday, May 12th, at 7:00 PM at Ahmed bin Ali Stadium.
