DOHA: Spanish defender Chico Flores will soon be unveiled as Lekhwiya's new overseas player, it was announced on Wednesday.
Lekhwiya, the Qatar Stars League (QSL) champions, last month roped in Michael Laudrup as their new coach.
Flores has worked with Laudrup at Swansea where the Dane was the coach.
Flores, 27, is expected to undergo his medical prior to signing the deal, details have revealed.
Lekhwiya had been looking for a replacement on Madgid Bougherra, the Algerian captain who played in Doha for more than two years.
