DOHA: The Total CAF Super Cup 2020 Local Organising Committee (LOC) has announced that tickets for the match have sold out.
The 29th edition of the showpiece event – between Egyptian club Al Ahly SC and Moroccan side RS Berkane – will take place at Jassim Bin Hamad Stadium in Qatar on Friday, 28 May, kick-off 7 PM local time (6 PM Cairo time and 5 PM Casablanca time).
In line with measures implemented by Qatar’s Ministry of Public Health, the stadium’s capacity will be limited to 30% in order to prevent the spread of COVID-19. Only fully vaccinated people and those who have recovered from COVID-19 in the last nine months will be permitted to attend the match. Those who attend the match must be aged 12 and above and have received two doses of the COVID-19 vaccination no later than 14 May. Alternatively, fans must have recovered from the virus within the last nine months, provided the final date of recovery was 21 days before the match.
Fans who attend the match must wear a mask and adhere to social distancing. Spectators will also be prevented from gathering at positions inside and outside the stadium. In addition, no food or beverages will be served or allowed in the stands.
This is the third time Qatar has hosted the Total CAF Super Cup following a cooperation agreement between the Qatar Football Association and the Confederation for African Football (CAF).
Al Ahly qualified for the Super Cup after winning the Total CAF Champions League, while Berkane qualified for the match after lifting the Total CAF Confederations Cup.
