Eid Rashiedi broke the deadlock for Kuwait just Eight minutes into the match, but the hosts responded swiftly with three goals through Khalid Mazeed (20), Hassan Ahmed (21) and Amro Siraj (26).

Qatar will next play Tajikistan in the second round of the tournament.
Qatar will take on Oman, Nepal and Afghanistan in the qualifying group for the AFC U23 Championship on March 22-26, 2019.
11 group winners and four best second-placed teams will qualify for the Finals, with the host nation of the Finals receiving automatic qualification.
