AL AIN: National team director Adel Khamis on Friday sounded confident about his team's chances on November 19 when Qatar play hosts Malaysia.
Qatar beat Yemen 4-1 on Friday in their 2015 Asian Cup, Group D qualifying match.
"We wanted to win convincingly and we did it," Khamis said. "We wanted a positive result and we are delighted that we managed that. We are very positive about our chances against Malaysia.
"The players gelled well in this match and took their chances. Scoring goals gives any team confidence. We feel the same way," he added.
"The players will be back in training after we land in Kuala Lumpur. We do not want to lose intensity before this key match. Everyone will be on the training pitch," he said.
"We have to be positive and play an aggressive game. It will be a different match compared to today's encounter against Yemen.
