Yangon, Myanmar: Coach Felix Sanchez bas was left pleasantly relieved by Qatar's keenly fought 3-2 win over hosts Myanmar in Monday's AFC U-19 Championship semi-final, but insists the way in which his side went about securing a place in the final was down to hard work on the training field. Qatar only held a slender one-goal advantage at half-time of the semi-final at Yangon Stadium through Almoiz Ali, but conceded two goals in the second half before leveling the score to force extra time. "The players did very well. In the first half we struggled because we didn't play well in spite of leading 1-0, but as the game progressed we were able to score goals and got better and better," said Sanchez. "We didn't expect this big score. in front of highly charged home support which defiantly made things difficult for us". "I am not surprised by how we scored as we have practiced scoring and most of the goals in the match were from our practice sessions. "We will now focus on recovery of the players' fitness before the final. The most important thing before the final is preparation." Qatar had advanced to a the semi-finals with an unbeaten record following Friday's 4-2 quarter-final win over China.
