DOHA: Brazilian striker Diego Tardelli believes critics will be in for a surprise when they see Qatar hosting the World Cup in 2022. Tardelli, who fired two goals for Brazil in their win over Argentina last week, said Qatar was ready to host the 2022 World Cup in summer of winter. Tardelli said: "Qatar has organized many major events and some key football games over the years. Brazil against England and Brazil versus Argentina at the Khalifa International Stadium come to mind." He added: "I know what I am saying as I have lived in lived in Qatar when I was playing for Al Gharafa. Qatar has the ability to organize huge major events. " He added: "I know that the leadership in Qatar is making a major effort to develop the infrastructure, which is evident when we look at Aspire Academy and Aspetar Sports Hospital. The clubs have good facilities too." Urging critics to visit Qatar, Tardelli, 29, said: "I say to those who criticize Qatar to come to Qatar and see what Qatar has to offer at sports venues." Tardelli played for Qatar Stars League (QSL) side Al Gharafa from 2012 to 2013 before returning to the league in Brazil.
