RIYADH: Qatar on Sunday were held to a goalless draw by Yemen who remained on high alert for most part of 99 minutes of play at King Fahd International Stadium. The draw on Sunday meant Qatar and Yemen had played their second consecutive draw in the eight-team tournament. On Thursday, Qatar drew with hosts Saudi Arabia 1-1 while Bahrain were also involved in a stalemate when they played Yemen. All three games in group A have been draws. On Thursday, the UAE were held to a goalless draw by Oman while on the same night, Kuwait edged past Iraq 1-0 in what was the only decisive match so far. On Sunday, Saudi Arabia take on Bahrain. In their second draw, Qatar coach Djamel Belmadi employed a 4-2-3-1 field but yet their strikers failed to breach the Yemen defense line. Sunday's 0-0 draw was Yemen's first against Qatar in four games with three wins for Al Anabi. Qatar's next match is against Bahrain on November 19. يمن-وعنابي
