Jeddah: The AFC U-14 Regional Festival of Football 2015 (West) concluded on Friday at the King Abdullah Sports City in Jeddah, with the event hailed for having provided those participating an opportunity to augment their footballing experience.
Saudi Arabian Football Federation (SAFF) President Ahmed Eid Al Harbi attended the closing ceremony which started after the last match in Group A between Saudi Arabia and Oman and the Group B encounter between Jordan and Bahrain.
Medals and certificates of participation were presented to all the teams, while Palestine received the Fair Play Award.
A total of 20 matches were played over the four days of the festival, which was focused on development rather than pure competition.
The participating nations were Bahrain, Iraq, Jordan, Kuwait, Lebanon, Oman, Palestine, Qatar, Saudi Arabia and the UAE.
